Delicious Indian with lots of vegan options - Edit
Lots of vegan options! The lady at the front was very knowledgeable with the menu & what was vegan. I had the samosas and aloo mutter (not on the menu but she mentioned it to me). Vegetarian section on the menu. It was delivery and take out only. Parking right outside.

Delicious food - Edit
The menu has a vegetarian section and many are vegan as well. We got chana masala, baingan bharta, aloo saag, vegetable biryani, cauliflower pakoras, samosas, and aloo parathas. I would highly recommend all of them! On the spicier side.

Decent selection of vegan options - Edit
A friend of ours brought us to his favorite Indian restaurant in Desert Hot Springs. Typical with Indian cuisine, there are automatic vegetarian and vegan dishes. The vegan dishes were basically those listed in the Vegetarian section of the menu that did not contain cheese. Not a large selection, but a good 3-4 and some of the breads were also vegan.
Read moreWe settled on an order of BENGAN BHARTHA and CHANA MASALA with a side of POTATO PARATHA. The mains come in deceptively large bowls that do not look as big as they are. We were both surprised by the amount of food in each. Both were delicious with a good depth of flavor. The bread was also very good. We had previously ordered naan whenever at Indian restaurants in our pre-vegan days, and although the paratha didn't have that stretchy texture of naan, it was still very good.
The staff (mom & pop) were super friendly and answered our questions with enthusiasm. It did take a while for the food to come out, but I'm assuming that's because there aren't a lot of kitchen staff and the dishes are prepared to order. I'm okay with waiting when I know that's the situation. The prices seemed a bit steep, but the food was good, and I wouldn't hesitate in going back. Unfortunately the vegan selection isn't extensive, so it probably wouldn't take many visits to try everything available.
Pros: Friendly staff, Good food and large portions
Cons: Can be expensive, Food takes some time to prepare

Vegan and gluten free options - Edit
There were four of us and all had something different. We all enjoyed our meals very much. Me being vegan and gluten free was happy to have so many choices. The staff was very helpful and told me all my options. We’ll go back for sure. Prices were reasonable. We went for lunch and was able to dine in. Dinner is take out/delivery only for now. Hopefully there will be dine in for dinner sometime.
