BEST Meatball Subs Ever - Edit
Ike’s has quite a few vegan options and they will happily veganize anything you ask them to. The meatball subs are my favourite though, and they are hard to go past. Having spoken with Ike himself recently, apparently more vegan options are on the way.

Ikes is in the Ala Moana mall food court next to Macy's on the first floor. The food court is not your typical mall food court and its nice enough to take a date. Sandwiches were 10 to 12 bucks and there were three bread choices. The Famous Dutch bread is a must. We had the Lenekea and Meatless ikes (meatball sub) both sandwiches were flavorful and tasty. They veganise the sandwiches by swapping cheese for a "special sauce" a type of dirty aoili made with vegan mayo.

I love the sandwiches at Ike's, and they have a Hawaii exclusive called Joe vs the Volcano that can be made vegan. Just tell them to hold the cheese and make it vegan (without mayo).

My first time at Ike’s. I got the meatless mike and it was ok. This location does not have vegan cheese. Definitely not the best sub I’ve ever had. But it tasted good. Wouldn’t recommend honestly but I needed a quick bite to eat on my way to the airport. Super crowded parking lot
