Relativ Boring

Gimme a break

Shocked to see the introduction of meat and dairy into this formerly perfectly fine place. So sad I fell for these morality-free marketing clowns.

Why is HappyCow even allowing such places a prominent advertisement spot in their app? Is money worth more than integrity? I hope they soon get delisted from the top spot.

Former review (please disregard):

Bring your omni friends here (5/5)

Everything is vegan, do I need to say more? If it is possible to nudge people towards veganism through food alone, this is the place to try it.

Regardless of this, the food was delicious and the service was friendly.

The restaurant is hip and bustling. Perfect for an enjoyable get-together or a quick meal.

Love it

One of my favourite places in Düsseldorf.
Love the decor, love the staff and love their food & drinks.

Very uncomplicated to order via the self-serve terminals and always very fast service.

I love their burgers. To me their choice is ample, since I’m a sucker for fully loaded buns, so I’m a big fan.
Their sides, which all come from air fryers add a nice touch as well.

I personally believe that prices are very fair, given the location of the restaurant.

In short: I love coming here and do so frequently.

Nicht mehr ‘pflanzlich’/ no longer plant-based

FROM NOW no longer plant based

I am using the term plant based as it is clear from the beginning that Hulala was a plant based concept and that animal welfare and ethics weren’t a priority .

I have supported the restaurant and been multiple times however I am no longer able to support restaurants which build up a vegan customer base and then ditch their loyal customers and (potentially values) because of money. I would rather support non-vegan and vegan restaurants which honestly communicate their intentions from the start .

Happy cow needs to remove the vegan label from the profile immediately and this should not be listed at the top for Düsseldorf - I know happy cow and Hulala have been partners in the past however this needs to be changed with immediate effect.

There are unfortunately no longer any happy cows at this business . And it’s a shame to see it follow the pattern of Vedang , funky bowl etc.

They need to communicate this openly as it’s not been publicised.

Pros: Still offering plant based options

Cons: Haven’t publicised the change, Money instead of ethics , Following footsteps of Vedang & Funky Bowl

Not vegan anymore

This used to be such a nice and lovely place for vegans as it offered so many delicious burger options. Now they changed the complete menu (without a word about it) and even serve meat (wtf?) and dairy products. Such a disappointment to see what direction they’re going and we will not longer go to hulala. It‘s just devastating to see such good Restaurants changing their beliefs for consumerism.
