I can't risk eating here any longer due to walnut cross contamination.

I can't risk eating here any longer.

I ate here about 5 years ago for a while before COVID lockdown, and on two separate occasions, got anaphylaxis response from cross contamination of salads with walnuts, even when I have specifically mentioned that I am allergic to them.

The (current) owner said that they never use walnuts, but this was certainly not true.

If I could be bothered, I could even submit an affidavit that I had an allergic reaction, as my friend was a witness to my allergic reaction. I can even supply the exact date that I visited.

Also, not impressed that the owner has removed or hidden my review, so I am editing it and resubmitting it.

I can't even see the reply, so that's pretty poor too.

Hi there
Thank you for taking out time to provide us your feedback.

We can see there is a confusion here. We have never used Walnut in any of our salads. All our ingredients are clearly mentioned on the menu and all allergens are discussed prior with our patrons.

At Home Vegan Bar we are taking nut and infact any allergens very seriously.

Can you please reconsider your decision of reviewing us as unnecessary being penalised is going to affect our business.

If you have any further questions please email it to us on lovetochat@homejuice.com.au

This would be going back about 5 years ago. Maybe you stopped using walnuts.

That’s a pretty serious accusation for you to make five years later.

Hi Tiggy.

Yes, anaphylaxis is serious.

I have a witness who would remember the incidents, and I could submit date and time of when I made the purchase from correlation of facebook chats organising to meet and credit card receipts.

Maybe they've cleaned up their act, and no longer use walnuts, but twice bitten thrice shy.

I’m certainly not challenging you on the truth of what you say, but just remarking it’s a legally sensitive issue for a public forum.
