This is such a sweet little bakery/cafe. We stopped for lunch on the way to Niagara Falls. The owner was really wonderful and the decor was cute. Food was fresh and yummy and not overpriced. The owner stated she wants to prove that eating vegan is affordable! All tips go to animal rescue. A great spot that I wish was local to me! (Although could be dangerous with all those cupcakes, pastries and cookies!)

We found 96 Lives on our way to a concert. It wasn't even out of the way and saved us navigating downtown Buffalo. The owner is very gracious and inviting. The menu consists of several sandwiches, soups, and a few sides. Plenty of choices without being overwhelming. Very reasonably priced proving being plant based doesn't need to be expensive. They also have excellent cupcakes and cookies reasonably priced too. I just wish it wasn't 4 hours away.

What an absolute gem in Lancaster, NY. Just minutes from the Buffalo airport, this cafe has a wonderful owner/operator and she makes great vegan food! Try the soup of the day. It’s amazing!

Upon entering this adorable bakery & cafe we were greeted with a warm welcome, as if coming home after a long day. We immediately felt at home and settled in to a cute dining table. The menu has many tasty vegan options to choose from - we tried the Roast “Beef” (seitan) sandwich served horseradish, a pickle and your choice of a side (we went with the pasta salad 😋) and we also tried the Potato Kale soup and the Infamous Breakfast Sandwich. Wow 😲 everything was out-of-this-world good ~ we ended up ordering seconds! 😜 will definitely be making more visits here in the future. Thank you 96 Lives!! 🙏🏼

The Most Amazing Place in Buffalo - Edit
96 Lives is literally my favorite place to eat. We usually go to breakfast every Saturday, and when we cant make it in we are disappointed. The breakfast options just expanded and are even more amazing. There are plenty of lunch options as well. The cupcakes and other baked goods are out of this world. I also get some cupcakes every week. I have never seen anyone walk out of there and look even remotely disappointed. We have brought non-vegans to eat and they said their food was amazing. This is my favorite place in Buffalo!

I’ve had my birthday cakes done here for the past 2 years and they are amazing! Even my friends who dont eat vegan loved it! We tried the red velvet cake and the cookies & cream they were both delicious. Plus the lady who owns the shop is really kind and easy to talk to.

The food is great, the cupcakes/cakes are great. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed the food. The place is decorated with very nice artwork of animals that we save by being vegan.

If you are anywhere nearby, it's worth any extra effort to get there.

Stopped in with an omnivorous coworker and we both really enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches. Tofu patty for the egg, and some kind of very tasty sausage! Will definitely stop back for another sandwich at some point and I look forward to trying the sweets too! The owner was really nice, as well!

I've been back a number of times for the breakfast sandwich, so good! I also recently bought a dozen cupcakes from 96 lives. They're really moist and the frosting is so good. Everybody that I shared the cupcakes with loved them. Highly highly recommended.
