We went full junk food with burgers, hot dog, fries and beers.

The beer selection was really nice and the waitress was really helpful.
It’s also cool that their menu is regularly changing.
My non vegan friend also enjoyed their dinner!

Fantastic! The best vegan burger I have had anywhere. Amazing ginger and cucumber fizz, and such a great vibe. Wonderful. I was beginning to lose hope of finding good vegan food in LA Rochelle. My meat eating daughter said it was her favorite vegan food experience and talked about it all the way back to our hotel.

The food is always outstanding regardless of what is offered. Just try anything. Sundays they offer more choice of cookies and cakes for breakfast and these should not be missed.

Burgers, pancakes, bowls, cookies, coffee… whatever you choose, it is delicious! Oh and don’t forget to pick a card from one of the oracle decks by the sofa to get a message from the universe along with your food!

Petite salle agréable nous étions assis sur un canapé mais très confortable. Petite carte aussi (3 choix de plats) mais cela montre aussi le fait maison. Nous avons choisi deux cheeseburger qui étaient vraiment très bons ( les meilleurs burgers vegans que j'ai jamais mangé). Un pain aux graines et curcuma très moelleux, un steak et fromage vegan très réalistes, une petite sauce très gourmande et des pickles d'oignons pour la fraîcheur. Avec ça un bol de frites maisons à la fois a fois croustillantes et moelleuses. Rien à dire ( peut être proposer une petite salade sur le côté pour un peu plus de fraîcheur ?) J'ai hâte de revenir tester d'autres plats. Pour le prix c'était 19 euros le burger plus les frites, un peu cher mais la qualité était au rendez vous.

Read moreDéjà, c'est le SEUL restaurant totalement végane de la ville (mais que font les autres ?). Et puis, c'est toujours un régal. Le plat du jour est toujours incroyable (souvenir très ému d'un combo à tomber par terre) et les burgers et les desserts hyper gourmands.
Et on est toujours reçu.e.s avec le sourire.
Bref, longue vie à Gurou !

I had the ultimate vegan pancakes which were good but a little too dense and heavy for my liking. The menu was pretty limited. Still worth visiting as vegan options are limited in this part of France.

I arrived back at noon to find out she’d opened earlier. Almost put me off eating here but luckily the servers were a lot friendlier.

We had the Beyond burgers and the sandwich, both of which were superb and had a different take on the classics. It is also reasonably priced for the amount of food you get which is always a plus! Food didnt make it to the photo cause it was too good!

Read moreThe interior design was bright, cute and relaxing with some pastel colors. I'm not sure what to call the music genre; it was hiphop beats with some rap and sometimes more soulful singing. I liked it.
There were six main dishes to choose from. There were no starters and only fries as a side. I had the Hoummous Toast (14€). It looked pretty and was different and interesting, but I was kind of disappointed in how it tasted. The hummus was bland and felt like 90% was bread. I had higher expectations to be honest.
The vibe and service was very nice though, so I would not mind giving it a second chance one day to try something else.

Only had drinks and a brownie. Brownie was HUGE (sharing is caring). It was crunchy on the top and juicy in the middle - just perfect. Compensated all the calories with a green juice, which was refreshing.

Bien situé, bonne ambiance. La carte est simple, mais donne vraiment envie. Si vous aimez le beyond meat, allez y ! Sinon, un peu déçu par le Bowl, mais les recettes ont l’air de changer souvent, donc ce n’est pas un avis définitif ! Les desserts sont délicieux.

Tout est frais, beau, bon et servi avec une bonne humeur pétillante et constante. C'est LE spot dans lequel nous retournons systématiquement en famille à chaque passage dans le coin. C'est à la fois classique et surprenant !

Incredible vegan food. Friendly service, fresh ingredients and delicious food. We melted in happiness when we had our first bite into their cheeseburger. Perfect blend of ingredients with Beyond “meat”, grilled onions, special sauce and “bacon”. It is SO good that we’ve already been here twice during our summer stay in Île de Ré.
