Tasty food but confusing about what is vegan - Edit
Really good food. Unfortunately we didn't get the same great service others have spoken of. I asked our waiter if the mezze starter was vegan as it contained pesto, he shrugged his shoulders and said probably. We opted for it anyway and my omni partner ate the pesto as I wasn't convinced.
Read moreI had the hemp pasta which was really unusual and very tasty. It's not entirely clear that the vegetarian options on the menu are all vegan as vegan isn't mentioned at all.
Overall really great food!

Lovely hidden away place in old town - Edit
This restaurant can be hard to find as the signal gets patchy in old town and it’s down a little side street. It’s well worth the hunt though as even though they only have a few vegan options, they’re really flavoursome and different and you can tell that thought has gone into the menu. It’s all homemade (including the rye bread) and this means you can alter things if you wish. Also, the staff are really friendly.

Stunning food, wonderful service, gorgeous setting! - Edit
We had the vegan hemp pasta, saitan salad and the beetroot gnocchi with mushrooms and beans. It was absolutely delicious, our waiter Ivan was very friendly, helpful, funny and brought an atmosphere to the place other than the one already inherent to the stunning location in a little square in the centre of the old town.

Beautiful Outdoor Setting 🌱 - Edit
Set in a tiny miniature square, the outdoor seating gives you a feel of traditional Croatia, with tiled flooring and limestone buildings rising around you. They have four vegan options, or vegetarian meals that can be made vegan: Wok Tofu, Gnocchi Asparagus, Hempseed Pasta, and Stewed Vegetables w/ Seitan! They also serve soya milk for coffee 😍

Great veggie selection, mixed service. - Edit
The food and location was great but the waiters were struggling the night we went. There were also mistakes on the menu with Stewed Vegetables turning out to be a salad with nothing stewed!

Nice place - Edit
We came here for our first evening meal whilst on holiday in split. We sat in the courtyard which was very nice! A couple of vegan options on the menu, we had the gnocci and the pad thai. (The gnocci was best!). Only complaint is the food cam very quickly so we were in and out relatively fast. Friendly service.

Delicious fresh food - Edit
During our stay in Split we visited this place a couple of times - although they have limited vegan options on their menu we managed to try something different each time. The waitress was very knowledgeable and well-informed of their vegan options. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is beautiful - a lush green oasis located amongst the ancient walls of old Split.

We went at night and it was super cozy located in the street between these historical walls. The wairer was super friendly and we had a great time. I took the hemp pasta dish and was not dissappointed, such a good mixture of spices, reaaally well done.

Great food! - Edit
The waiter was very friendly and walked me through all of the vegan options on the menu (4 in the vegetarian labeled section, 1 in the salad section). I ended up ordering the wok tofu which exceeded my expectations! Full of delicious veggies and a great sauce.

Good quality but strange descriptions - Edit
They currently offer 4 vegetarian options, all of which appeared vegan. Our "stewed vegetables" turned out to be a (generous and delicious) green salad with grains, orange and seitan. The dollops of cream as garnish might have been dairy-based, we couldn't tell and didn't manage to ask (because the baby woke up; the staff cannot be faulted), so better mention your veganism when ordering. Wide range of espressi and an explicit menu section for coffee with plant milk (reasonable prices: 17 kn for a soy cappuccino). Still no vegan desserts. While the quality was good, we've had better veg meals in omnivore establishments.

Delicious, unusual vegan options - Edit
Three vegan mains including a hemp pasta dish with chickpeas which I found delicious, and a tofu dish which was also very tasty (we went twice). One starter, hummus plate. No Vegan desserts on menu but they had a raw lemon tart that night which was sfv. Two plant milk options for with coffee which was great to see. Very friendly and keen to discuss adding more vegan options. We let them know that vegans often do enjoy sweet/indulgent desserts so maybe they’ll add something to the menu in the future.

Good vegan options - Edit
Very friendly and helpful staff. Menu has 3 standard vegan main options and one starter. There was no dessert listed but the staff told us that they had vegan lemon tart. Also both soy and almond milk for coffee, which was delicious. Staff took the time to investigate which wine was sfv. Restaurant seem keen to expand their vegan options. Food was good enough for us to go back a second time. Recommend if you want a change from junk food and maybe try something you have not had before.

Good - Edit
Not sure why people found this hard to find as I followed the map on happy cow quite easily. I shared the mezze plate to start and it was really nice, it comes with bread, pesto, hummus and salad. For main I got the hemp pasta which I agree was not what I expected but still good! Was quite a weird dish as it had soy sauce on the bottom but a dollop of cashew cream and some kind of red pepper dip on the top. Portion was plenty enough, I didn’t manage to finish after sharing the starter and the soy sauce was a bit much by the end of it. Location was really pretty and calmer than the busy main streets which was nice!

Great food inside palace walls - Edit
As stated in an earlier review, this place is a bit difficult to get to if you rely on google maps. I recommend going by the street address. The restaurant is tucked away down a side street and has a beautiful outdoor seating area. We sampled the local olive oil (delicious) and I had gazpacho and the hempseed pasta. Everything was amazing! There were so many nice touches that made this a great dining experience, including a wedge of orange in our water glasses & complementary bread and olive oil. Service a bit cold, but efficient.

Great service. Except when I ask which vegan option he recommends he said non as he likes to eat meat. Amazing food. Beautiful setting. If I ever go back to Croatia I will definitely be revisiting this restaurant.

Best vegan dish I’ve ever had! - Edit
The hempseed pasta is the best dish I have ever had! This is one amazing place! A little challenging to find only because GPS reception can be spotty as you walk around the interior of the palace walls, but don’t give up! You’ll be highly rewarded. Homemade bread with smoked olive oil is a great starter but don’t get too full, you’ll want every bit of the pasta! Soooo good!!!!! Restaurant is outdoor seating, small space, old stone palace walls all around. Gorgeous!

Excellent choice for vegans - Edit
This lovely spot within the walls of Diocletian's Palace is well worth seeking out. It has a large (for Split) dining patio away from the foot traffic of the busy narrow street. There is a lovely garden along one wall. My husband is an omnivore and I am vegan and both of us were pleased with our dishes. Also the service was nice and the staff friendly. They also offered a gluten-free vegan dessert!
