Serve meat, vegan options available. Mostly vegetarian take-away café at the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) with plenty of outdoor seating, kids playground and river views. Almost all options can be made vegan by requesting no cheese. Choices include a range of burgers, hot chips, salads and more. Note: Vegan cheese not available. Sign says vegetarian but menu states that they serves "actual wallaby". Please verify and update. Removed April 2025: Limited vegan options.

Sunday Funday - Edit
Great food and atmosphere in the outdoor food court at one of the world's most intriguing art gallery complexes. The dubsy burger and chips were great and we washed them down with pineapple daiquiris from a nearby drink cart. Free music too.

If you have dietaries of any kind don’t bother - Edit
Rebranded to Heavy Metal kitchen the menu is now primarily meat based rather than 100% plant based. There are 2 vegan options - one cheese burger that you can have without the cheese and some fried tofu.
Read moreThe person taking our order did not acknowledge us and just stood staring until we started ordering. When I tried to order the cheese burger he insisted it was already vegan until another team member corrected him.
I was then called back after our order was taken to be told they were out of gf buns, and when I asked what other options could be vegan and gluten free they just stared at me until I asked if I could have the burger without a bun.
Our buzzer went off and my partners food was there and I was told mine would be ready later but they couldn’t tell me how I would know it was ready.
All this for two very average burgers and some chips for about $50.

Fries but artistic fries - Edit
Do you enjoy the fine art world? Do you enjoy museums of endless wonder? Then you should frequent this fine museum and munch up some cider and fries 🍟. My girlfriend loved the fries so much she asked us to leave the museum early to eat some more!

No vegan options available on the day - Edit
No vegan options were available over the Easter long weekend. 3 vego options of a bruschetta, salad and a pizza - the cheese needed removal but was charged full price. The take out also served wallaby, deer and rabbit during that weekend.
Read morePros: Beautiful grounds
Cons: Served wallaby, rabbit and deer, No fully vegan options were available , Expensive for the type of food
