Vegan donuts have arrived in Bakersfield! - Edit
I heard from friends in the Bakersfield Vegan Facebook group that this donut shop had started making vegan donuts and just had to try it out. Previously, I would have to drive either to Santa Clarita or Fresno for vegan donuts which are both over an hour away. I arrived when the shop first opened and inquired about the vegan donuts. Since they make regular donuts (with milk and eggs,) I had to wait a few minutes for the donuts but it was worth it. Both donuts were glazed and were sweet and moist. I really enjoyed the donuts and am hopeful that I can sample more of their vegan donut offerings. I also hope that they can start making vegan donuts using soy milk (they currently use almond milk for the vegan donuts) so that those with nut allergies can enjoy the vegan donuts as well.

I called today and they said they haven't made vegan doughnuts in a long time. Very disappointing!
