I was so excited when I heard that Geelong would finally have a vegan restaurant, but the food is underwhelming and overpriced, and the service is pretty much always slow. I hope they lift their game and give Geelong a reason to turn to veganism!

Steve and Lisa who own this are awesome. Everything's vegan! Steve had a great chat with my girlfriend and I about veganism, their menu and the history of veganism. We loved it here and are tracking down Steve's food truck in Torquay tomorrow!!

Very nice place also. Great mix of products, posters and reading material.
Would 100% recommend.

Tried 5 times with no luck ;( Disappointing! - Edit
Our past two visits (2014, 2015) to Queenscliff music fest we have lived from Dollys Food Van, I appreciated it, the meals were fresh, lovely, presented well and full of flavour. The owners were absolutely lovely and the customer service not to be faulted. I was very happy to hear that Dollys had opened a restaurant, the first time we visited everything was pretty good (apart from hair and fluff in the wine glasses & the atmosphere and decor could use addressing, run down, old, def not the cleanest but we recommend Dollys because we enjoyed our meals) the meals and service were great but the next visits were not great and we've tried so hard to love it, time and time again. It's just been disappointing.

Customer service poor!! Why? How hard is it to be friendly and kind and not make others feel like a burden for trying to order a meal. I must say the owners are lovely but the staff, I can't comprehend, it's dragging your biz down! I only wish you could see how your restaurant runs when you're not there. Find staff that care!
Arrived at Dollys after a vegan function which Dollys had advertised they were open and serving pizza after the event, arrived to be told by staff that they had heard nothing of it and were closed, I then show the staff the information and they say they'll call the owner and check. So they served dinner dry, flavourless burgers and a bean dish (chilli con carne) that was starting to ferment or had some rough tang to it. Oh and the delay, first to order last served? $20 per meal, never asked us re drinks, then they had marked our order as paid when we hadn't paid it, which of course we fixed.

Cons: flavourless dry boring bland expensive , poor service/unorganised , needs a good clean and a make over

I love this place and have never been disappointed! Staff are wonderful! Perfect place for vegans to go for lunch or dinner with a central location to the Geelong region! I suggest trying the satay skewers ?

Having heard much about this eatery and enjoying a smoothie from the food van, we had hopes the cafe would deliver.
Read moreOur order consisted of a lentil burger with no lentils...it's a tasteless and I suspect, pre-purchased patty with little condiment added to lend any flavour; the side was a serve of under-cooked, unseasoned chips. The nachos and garlic pizza fared no better, really. I wouldn't return in a hurry.

I eat at Dolly's on a pretty regular basis. Came to know of it from the bus which the owner began before getting the cafe up and running.

The food is fantastic, and constantly getting better as they are constantly expanding the menu and also trying new things like having cooking classes and specialty nights such as Thursday night Parmi night and Friday night Pizza night and now opening on Sundays.
My favourite - the eggplant parmagiana (divine!), nachos and vegie burger. They have a fantastic range of desserts and it's great to eat somewhere and to be confident that what you are eating really is 100% cruelty free and vegan :) Love it as a place to take friends, or to take my Kindle and read and relax over delicious food and drink.
Pros: Expansive menu of treat food and healthy, Delicious range, Great location in CBD.
Cons: Wish it was always open!

Super impressed with this place, full vegan menu and lots of gluten free options which I'm always thankful for being coeliac. they are also happy to help with other allergies. A variety of healthy meals as well as burgers and cakes etc. I came here when these guys first started out and the improvement since is enormous. A lot more variety of food and drinks and a friendly atmosphere. Very large dining area so you won't miss out on a spot. I hope this place continues to be supported and only grows

It's so great that Geelong has a Vegan cafe! We sat outside and had lunch there. The mushroom panini, coconut rice hot pocket, and a burger, all with salads and chips. Staff are super friendly, the food was great, especially the salads, all really fresh and tasty. It looked pretty cosy inside, they have a bar, the whole place is quite big, and I will be back soon for sure.

We ordered the macroni and "cheese" which can get a bit much after a while. It would be best served In a smaller size with a salad or something. We also had the veggie burger with chips. Lots of chips, generous serve. This was tasty. We also had desserts. The chocolate fudge was. Ice but there was a lot of it. We also had a cake which was nice. I really enjoyed my iced coffee, best I've had.

What a great restaurant. This is a great place to eat. First the decode and atmosphere are excellent. Feels really nice just to sit there and take time out. Second, the staff are friendly and helpful. Third, the prices are so very reasonable. And forth, the food is to die for.
Read moreThe one thing I hate about going to a place like this is that I just want to eat everything on their menu. So, guess I will be going back...again and again.
It is worth the drive down from Melbourne, or the train. It is only less than 10 minutes walk from the train station.
