Take the meat eaters in your life here - Edit
Sitting opposite my carnivorous dining partner and the grumbling, pleasured sounds coming out of his mouth is slightly disturbing. As is the taste of the dishes. I mean, so good it's worrying. I've asked the staff five times now if the meat isn't actually meat, and they've confirmed. Deliciously prepared. Table service a little clumsy but you can let that slide for the taste. Overwhelming range of Western and Indonesian food too. Do it.

Already closed? - Edit
The info staff in Grand Indonesia told me that the restaurant has already closed.

Really sad if it doesn't exist anymore as it was a really nice restaurant with various offers in an easily accessible place.
Pros: Good offer of vegetarian dishes. Decent prizing.

Yummy lunch - Edit
Had the satay, rendang, and nasi goreng for lunch. Everything was delicious with great flavors. Menu has no English translation but is dotted with pictures which facilitate ordering. My fellow reviewers didn't seem to care for the fact that it's located inside a mall; for me, it couldn't have been more convenient as it was just a short walk from where I was staying and spared me the pain of getting around the city.

I just wish I'd stayed an extra day and gone back - Edit
I absolutely LOVED the veggie burger. Simple and delicious, one of the best ever. I also had "chicken" skewers with a nice huge amount of peanut sauce, delicious. Can't ask for more, especially not in a mall (uhhhh).

Tasty food - Edit
Well, this restaurant was OK, but oh, so hard to find. It's inside a huuuuuuge shopping mall that has no maps or signs. The staff at the information desk did not know where Dharma Kitchen was and even said that maybe it was closed. Fortunately, we kept looking.
Read moreThe food was tasty, but the menu was very complicated and it was hard to understand which dishes were vegan and which were not. Portions were much smaller than in any Loving Huts we went to. Prices, however, were much higher.
The restaurant is nice and a good place to eat out if you are in the neighbourhood. It's worth trying, but I wouldn't go there again, as there are much better options in Jakarta.
Pros: Tasty food
Cons: Expensive for Indonesian standards, Hard to find

Good but could be better - Edit
At first we had difficulties locating the restaurant because it's inside a large mall which lacks floor maps and information desk provides confusing directions. Second, the restaurant itself was hard to understand because it had three menus: two without prices and one with prices. The one with prices was the "main menu" and others were only to see how the food looks like. But... not all dishes in the "picture menu" were in the "main menu". Also, what dishes are vegan and what aren't were indicated only in the "picture menu". It's beyond my understanding why they can't make only one menu to make things more simple.
Read moreApart from these confusions, everything else was OK. The food was nice (we had nasi goreng and tom yam soup), although the same soup was much more tasty in Loving Hut. We also ordered guava juice and mango juice. As in other restaurants in Indonesia, these "fresh juices" were just fresh fruit blended with water. Simple but tasty.
In total we paid around 120k which is a bit on the expensive side compared to Loving Hut or other vegan places we visited in Jakarta. In addition to the price written on the menu, customers also have to pay service tax and some other tax.
Pros: large menu, vegan friendly
Cons: inside a large mall, confusing menu
