thumbs up! - Edit
Between 5 of us we tried most of the menu and enjoyed everything - especially liked by the non vegans with us! Coleslaw is super tasty and the Italian burger I had was absolutely delicious. Really like this place. Will come again next time.

nice burger but small - Edit
my boyfriend had a cheese burger here and while it was nice, it was only helpful as a snack in between and not a proper meal. my boyfriend still eats cheese and said the vegan cheese was really good and authentic!

Very good vegan burgers - Edit
I had the italian burger, it was delicious! A bit pricey though : 5,50 euros for the burger. They also have healthy salads. A place to try out if you're around!

the best burgers ever! - Edit
I've been a vegan for nearly two years and I love to cook, so i've made my fare share of vegan burgers as well as tried quite a few out however, i have never come across a burger this good! Definitely recommend it! I had the Italian burger and the one of their sandwiches ( cant remember the name) and I'm sure all their other food is insane too :)

perfect fast food - Edit
Perfect McD-style burgers, fresh fries, great chia pudding. I wish all hamburger joints were turned into Dandys. Needs improvement to make the dining area less smelly and the drinks colder.

Vegan McDonald's? - Edit
The food is not the baddest I've tried, but I think trying to make a McDonalds for vegans for me it's not the best idea. Expensive for the size of the rations...

Disappointing - Edit
I had high hopes for Dandy Diner after their grand opening and all the PR but on both recent visits we were less than impressed. The staff are friendly but the food is nothing special.
Read moreTheir main cheeseburger seems to be emulating the McDonald's 99¢ burger (it's pretty small) but is more than three times the price. You can get much better vegan burgers elsewhere in Berlin. I certainly wouldn't travel far to get here.
They do have other options - there's a tasty, smoky pulled mushroom sandwich but at over €6, that's pretty expensive for a sandwich in Berlin. The drinks aren't cheap either - everything feels more expensive compared to other places in the city. Plus both times we've been, at least part of our order has been slightly burnt, despite us being the only customers in.
It seems like they've put a lot of effort into the décor (although the chairs are uncomfortable) but the food feels lacklustre.
I feel awful giving a new vegan place such a bad review, but I'd be lying if I gave it much praise.
Pros: friendly staff, open late, free water
