Ein Ort an dem ich immer wieder gerne einkehre. Ob Nachmittags für einen kleinen leckeren Snack, eine Tasse frischen Minztee, Sonntags ein Stück wunderbaren Kuchen oder einfach für ein Feierabendbier.

Friendly staff, when we asked for a translation of a vegetable, the chef went back & brought out a leek to everyone's amusement! The food we had was tasty, reasonably priced & the atmosphere was very casual. It's very much a community hub for other things too, I think there was a book group going on in the back room. The down side was the menu was a weekly menu with limited options which meant we only went there once. But if you're looking for something cheap and tasty this is the place.

Ich war bisher zwei mal in der Butze und beide Male waren einfach super. Einfaches, frisches, tolles Veganes essen zu kleinen Preisen, guter Wein und leckere Desserts. Die Location ist so unique wie auch das Publikum. Mein neuer Liebling diese Butze 💙

Amazing place - Edit
I absolutely love Butze. The staff is very friendly - my German isn't the best and they are always glad to help me with the menu. The gyro and tomato soup have been my favorites so far, and their pale ale and vegan white russian are amazing. I have brought a lot of meat-eaters here and they've all loved it and gone back on their own.

One of my favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf and very beloved in my non-vegan friends group aswell.
Read moreThe staff is always friendly, they have good food, price is very student friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed and it feels like a homely dining room.
The downside is that they did downgrade the menu options drasticly some months ago. And choose to do more of a weekly menu. As much as I was sad to see the home-made fries go from the regular menu, they have rocked their weekly menus so far nontheless! Up untill now I always found something I liked to eat and it was always very tasty.
Can only recomend it!

Butze offers a menu with a handful dishes like hot dog, plates with salat, bread, hummus, vegan "Mett", meatballs etc. and additionally a daily special which is a normal dish and a dessert as an option. The staff is really friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed and cozy. You always get beer on tap, a good variety of drinks, home made lemonade, tea and coffee with soy-milk. There is a big separate room for events like concerts, lectures and TV ("Tatort") evenings. The prices are reasonable. We are definitely going to eat there again!
