Fantastic vegan food + lovely ambience! - Edit
Now that we live in Almada, we've gone to Bone Free a couple of times. The location in Costa da Caparica is great - not too far from the beach. The food is outstanding! We especially like the tacos. It's hard to find good Mexican food in Portugal and this place definitely knows how to make delicious vegan Mexican food! If you're in the area, I highly recommend a visit here!

The owner is extremely nice and will advise you on what to share. I strongly recommend the "fish" tacos and the nachos. Spicy sauce on the side provided :)

Great vegan food by the beach! - Edit
We stayed at a nearby hotel and were worried that we couldn’t find any vegan food close to where we were staying. Luckily we found Bone Free only 5 min walk from our hotel and was it situated right next to the beach! We had the cheeseburger and mac and cheese, and then cappuccino and banana cake for the desserts. All was delicious, food was delivered quickly and very nice service. Perfect place if you are by the beach and are in need for some nice vegan food in a cool place.

found this restaurant this year and already went three times. it’s amazing!!! totally vegan, lots of options and super affordable too. my favourites were the facon cheeseburger, the nachos and the fish tacos. drinks are also super nice, last time I was there the owner offered us a cocktail because we had to wait a little bit for the bartender to get there- that’s a reflection from how nice the staff is, everyone is so friendly!! shoutout to the great playlist too😄immediate favourite

O @b0nefree é um restaurante vegan com uma incrível esplanada na Costa da Caparica. Para além de ser possível usufruir de um menu que partilha algumas receitas com os restantes membros do vegan junkies club, é também possível beber um copo e ouvir uma música ao final do dia. O atendimento, como sempre, irrepreensível. Pedimos aros de cebola (5€) como entrada que estavam básicos, mas o molho, de maionese, era bom e ligeiramente picante, o que tornava esta entrada mais interessante. Como prato principal, escolhemos o hambúrguer big poppa (11€), que é servido com batatas fritas. O pão, de cebola roxa, estava muito bom, fofo como se quer, e a dupla entre queijo vegan fumado e a cebola caramelizada resultava incrivelmente deliciosa, mas o pattty não tinha vida. Estava bem conseguido, mas pelo valor, é claramente necessária uma reformulação no hambúrguer propriamente dito. As batatas estavam boas mas não diria que fossem acabadas de cortar, algo que levaria este prato a outro nível. Pedimos uma fatia de bolo para sobremesa e, apesar de delicioso e caseiro, com o ótimo sabor da laranja, esperávamos uma sobremesa mais elaborada, mesmo que caseira, considerando que custou 5€. No entanto, gostámos do facto de terem servido duas fatias. Iremos regressar para descobrir como fica a vibe ao final do dia!

Read moreI spent 2 days in Caparica and managed to go to all three vegan restaurants. I think they all deserve a visit. Xexexe is closest to „fine dining“, bone free is best if you want to sit outside as they have the nicest terrasse (especially for a larger group, they all have at least two tables outside). And Mr. Vegan has the most reasonable prices and seems to be a family run restaurant.
