Very disappointed

I've been here today for New Year Eve with my 2 kids. Our table was booked for 7pm. Before going I checked their website and the menu looked nice even if too rich in soya and seitan. Once there I had the surprise of a only prix fixe menu very expensive: $ 60 for a starter, an entree and a dessert (???) No way to have any choice from the normal menu - as the prix fixe menu was too 'sofisticated' for the children. This was not mentioned on the website, as many other restaurants do, and I wish it was because I wouldn't have gone. I asked to share the menu and so we did. I was charged with extra $10 for the kids just to be seated + tax + gratuity 20%. In total I paid more than $90 for one 3-course menu which is ridiculous. Not only it is very expensive, portions were small!
As a chef and a person who visits quite a lot of vegan restaurants I was not impressed by the food and really cannot understand why this place is so expensive. Will not go back.

Dissapointment

Used to be superb, but with partnership breakup it has gone downhill. The special of the day (an enchilada that never knew Mexico), was obviously made up in advance, refrigerated and the heated up. But the inside was still refrigerator cold! Had to be sent back for heating twice, the fist time still had a chilled center.
No excuse for this at the price. The other partner has the old Carmine location (see Urban) and the really fine vegan cuisine.

Cons: Not prepared to order - refrigerated earlier, Overpriced, Poor service - no apology for it
