They both close now

tabata ramen 2 was at the same spot
(No one will ever know there's such quiet place around port authority
Nice) that’s the review I wrote for tabata ramen 2 back in 2017,

Unfortunately both restaurants are closed now

We have been temporarily closed since the platform we used to operate shut down. We have been looking at shared kitchen facilities in the city of New York and found a spot in Brooklyn. We are going through all the legal processes of starting and maintaining a business and we appreciate the patience of our faithful clientele. Andean Garden will open soon, but we’re not giving the exact date until we have finalized everything with the owners, partners, and the government. Follow us on instagram: peruvian_vegan_food and stay up to date with our next move!

Thank you,

Vegan Peruvian cuisine in NYC you didn’t know you needed (but do)!

Delicious vegan Peruvian cuisine in NYC! Andean Garden (formerly named Ananda's Kitchen) fills a niche we never even knew we needed.

So far I've ordered the Causa Rellena (appetiser with layers of mashed potatoes, chickpeas and avocados, flavoured with lime and yellow hot peppers), Aji Amarillo Unchicken (entrée of yuba/tofu skin in a creamy sauce made from pecans, bread, oat milk, yellow hot peppers and Peruvian red peppers, served with potatoes and rice), and the Acevichado Maki (Peruvian-Japanese roll with mushrooms, vegan cream cheese and tangy Acevichado sauce).

Not only is Andean Garden unique in offering fully vegan Peruvian cuisine, it is owned by Peruvian vegans who are also animal rights activists. I personally love supporting entrepreneurs like Royce & Neyda who make quality food while truly caring about animals, humans and the planet. Highly recommended!

FYI, orders are currently available only by delivery via Woodspoon but Royce has been very accommodating about arranging hand-offs for those outside the delivery area. Just as there's no excuse for animal abuse, there's no excuse not to check out Andean Garden!

Pros: Unique and delicious, Vegan Peruvian cuisine, Owned by ethical vegans

Cons: Would be great if portions were a bit bigger :-)

Unbelievably delicious!

If I could have Andean Garden's Quinoa Chaufa every day, I would. I had it as take-out, and ate almost all of it while driving home. Polished off the rest shortly after getting to my apartment. Absolutely divine flavor. Wow!

Once I find something I like, I tend to stick with it, so although I'm curious about their other offerings, I don't want to not get the Quinoa Chaufa again, and again, and again!

Authentic Vegan Peruvian food, enough said!

So far, I have had a couple of dishes.
My taste buds felt fantastic having Causa Rellena.
Looking forward to trying more.

I also ordered a mix of 4 different plates for other people.
So far, nothing but rave reviews.

Pros: Amazing presentation., Extremely kind and restriction-accommodatingchef., Terrifically tasty food.

This is one special business in vegan dining I've been waiting for my whole life.

I first heard about Andean Garden when they started out as Ananda's Kitchen not too long ago. As someone who is vegan and of Peruvian heritage, visiting a fully vegan restaurant for the first time ever was a dream come true. I tried just about everything that they had on their menu and I loved it! The cooking is astounding and the attention to the finer details with where the plant based alternatives came in to replace animal flesh/secretions from meals I ate before going vegan(from an era long, long ago) was very refreshing. I'm happy that Andean Garden is around and hope it stays forever. If you haven't tried their meals, please do. You're missing out on a lot. I know you will enjoy it, I guarantee it.

Pros: They had some very tasty vegan sushi rolls., The drinks were unique and tasty., I'm getting hungry thinking about their food now.

A true foodie experience

Yum! Got to enjoy this at a gathering of vegan activists. The menu we ordered from in advance was so good, it was hard to not order enough for multiple meals!! The perk was that it was all foods that I couldn’t just make at home, so not just a meal, but an experience. Flavor and texture on point, and all real food made from scratch. 😋🌱

Pros: Fully vegan , Small business , Incredibly delicious

Cons: No brick and mortar location yet

Amazing food and run by animal rights activists!!!

Seriously, so exciting this place exists. First of all, a vegan Peruvian restaurant in New York City is a huge deal! Having delicious traditional food with a vegan twist is so necessary in the community! Also, this place is run by some incredibly devoted animal rights activists, so when you order here, you know you’re supporting a truly vegan establishment through and through. Can’t recommend it enough!

Amazing food!!

The owners, Royce and Neyda were extraordinarily nice. Not only was the food amazing, the owners are animal rights activists. Even though this is a small business, the food is amazing.. If you ever want to eat some delicious vegan Peruvian food, or just some sushi, this is the place to go.
