ok for once - Edit
Really disappointed about this place. Don't think it's a cheap place cause 2 rice spoons, 1 piece of tempeh and some veggies already cost 20K.
Read morePrice could be OK if the food was great but it isn't tasty and food is cold. Ginger tea was also not very hot. So sad for a tea!!
Noisy place cause it's close to a busy street.
We suggest to come earlier to have more dishes choices. (we came at😄
We prefer the other place called 9 Angels Warung. There are more choices and the place is really nicer (quiet and beautiful)
Cons: pricey for the quality, cold and not tasty food, too noisy

Layed back and good value for money - Edit
Went here nearly every evening while staying in Ubud, it was really relaxed, friendly staff, and the food seemed to vary a little every day. Dishes were solid, the dips to be enjoyed with care - sometimes really spicy. When looking for vegan food make sure you list precisely everything you don't eat, as they don't seem to know what vegan exactly means: they said everything was vegan, but there was obviously cheese in one dish. Don't be disappointed when it comes to desserts, as none of the cakes were vegan. The concept is convincing, and it's perfect when you are not that hungry and only want to go for a snack or a coconut! 5 stars for solid, regional cooking

Good cheap Eatery - Edit
Good vegan options for cheap. Try and get there after 11. That seems the best time to go. An when I was there they ask you to donate how much you want for the food. All the dishes have prices for a rough guide.

Wholesome place - Edit
I went in very early, so not all the food was ready (but most of it was).
Read moreThe cakes were definitely not ready though.
Very good for people with particular diets--add what you like. The dishes don't have much salt, so you can add more if you need. There are 3 types of rice, noodles, veg, tempeh, tofu, hot/cold drinks, desserts/cakes.
You can spend a lot of time here if you like, there are books, instruments, lots of space, pets, several areas to wash up.
Not sure how this one compares to the location on Jalan Suweta, or if they are even related. To be continued..........
EDIT:
the cakes are so cheap, starting from 10K. I'm pretty sure they're not vegan though--there is a meringue on top of the coconut cake. unless they used aquafaba, though I doubt it. you should confirm if you require it.
the coconut cake is less of a cake, than a super thick pudding. it tastes quite nice and not too heavy. there was also chocolate and carrot cake available.
the food offerings were slightly different this day, though not too drastic. the flavours are quite consistent. i noticed the potatoes from yesterday were probably made into a mixed curry today😁 (i do the same at home, so not a problem for me)

Yummy - Edit
A nice buffet restaurant. Eating has an Indian touch. Tofu on different ways, salads, different rice. Cake-desserts like the old mummy. : - Kombucha, ginger tea, Turmeric Jam, fresh juice. It is something quite different from the traditional Bali. Vegans will find you well. I will come here again.

Love this place! So many delicious options and all reasonably priced. The menu is set as a self-serve, pay by item type of thing, which is amazing because it allows you to choose your portion size. Expect to leave full for under $3

Luwak coffee, really!? - Edit
The place is great! Love the concept and the food. Only (very disappointing) downside is that they sell Luwak coffee. In my opinion, you can’t claim to be a vegan place and sell products made by tortured animals. Please stop supporting this disgusting industry guys!

Best fast vegan buffet in ubud - Edit
Great vegan restaurant. If you don’t feel like waiting an hour for food at the average Balinese restaurant this is a great option. Also wonderful to try many options. With a fresh fruit drink expect to pay 30k or about 2$ . Will definitely be back next time im in Bali

The best place in Ubud - Edit
Great place in the south of Ubud. A lot vegan, all vegetarian.
Read moreyou can choose from a big buffet, cut your own fruits or drink a housemade kombucha.
You pay as much as you want because it's a donation. Also you can buy vouchers for homeless. Afterwards everybody has to clean their own plates. Great location, great spirit and great people. This concept needs to be supported

Amazing! - Edit
This place was just amazing. The food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. Cannot beat the price. I also love the philanthropic values here, they give away 3 meal vouchers to those who can't afford to eat everyday and you have the option to contribute by purchasing a meal voucher for someone for only 30k baht. Leave money in the jar on the table and do your own dishes. The staff are very nice and know what vegan means, they let me know the dessert cakes had eggs when I asked if they were vegan. The dogs there are also very sweet.

Possibly my favourite thing to do in Ubud. We ate here so many times in our 8 nights i forgot. The food was best in the morning. Not amazing by night time. Super cheap food compared to other veg places inUbud. pretty much 3k a spoon. I loved being able to pick many different things depending on my appetite. the drinks were cheap, I discovered my favourite drink Teh Botol. Delicious and cheap, what more could you ask for

amazing food! | Love the concept of this place! - Edit
I love the idea of being able to pay based on what you think the meal was worth, amazing concept. The food is all vegetarian (mostly vegan) and delicious. There are also vouchers you can purchase to pay for someone else's meal that may not be able to afford to have a decent meal (only $3 a voucher). Overall great place!

Best place in UBUD - Edit
I LOVED this place! You take the food you prefer choosing among the great variety of the dishes in the buffet (pasta, three types of rice, pumpkin soup, risotto, several types of tofu, potatoes, many vegetables, fruit, cakes...). Everything is VERY good. It's super cheap ( we left more money, our total was sooooo cheap!). The place is interesting, you must wash your dish and leave the money in a jar on the table... No one controls you, you feel at home. It's a special place, with positive vibes and a unique energy. My favorite restaurant in UBUD! Super recommended. The chocolate cake is very soft, best dessert I had in Bali.

A place with a heart - Edit
The food is great, and so is the venue. You pick and choose between many different Indonesian dishes. You take as much as you want and put money for it on the table when you leave. It is something special with a place that trust you to pay as much as you eat for. It always makes me pay a little extra. The staff is welcoming and the dogs and cats that are hanging around is taken care of. I highly recommend this place for lunch.

Love this place! - Edit
This is one of the best places we have eaten in Ubud, great vegan food cooked by a lovely owner. Really authentic and so cheap too (15,000 IDR for dinner!) he also does cooking lessons. Would definitely recommend if you like authentic Indonesian food. Just go and see what's been cooked today and then enjoy a great selection of dishes!
