Decent vegan option - Edit
I was interested to try the food at the cafe while I visited the de Young Museum. They have a small menu, but looks like they may always have a vegan option. Today was a curried cauliflower steak. It was quite pricey at $23, but very nice. The curry flavor wasn’t too overwhelming and the cauliflower was cooked well. A nice lunch!

Convenient break when you're visiting the de Young Museum - Edit
The cafe has some vegan options and the staff seem very well informed and will let you know which items are vegan or can be made vegan.
