More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
The right to be treated with respect is based on the ability to feel happiness, unhappiness, pain and fear. These feelings are shared by animals. Therefore they have the right to live happy, painless lives that are not cut short unnecessarily - as much as we have this right. In fact I believe in some sort of human superiority, because we are capable of grasping afore mentioned right and to act accordingly.

Having profited so much from this site, I want to give back.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Maybe the best places have been the vegan kitchens of people that I came across coincidentally, couchsurfing or whatever - as far as eating is concerned. One of the best place on a map has been the countryside of East Georgia (South Caucasus) - days filled with harvesting grapes, listening to lugubrious music played on gentle, old instruments, and also to stories at huge dinner tables with plenty of locals. A stone's throw to Chechnya, Kakheti hadn't lost much to modernity. What places do I want to visit in the future? The South tip of Southern America. Some of these islands in the pacific ocean that are far, far away. I would like to cycle in Taiwan. And I would like to revisit places I've been to in the past, see friendships come back that were buried under time.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

As for many others "Animal Liberation" (Peter Singer) has had a lasting impact on my thinking about vegetarianism.
