- I'm a professional photographer/photo-artist (specializing in that amazing bond between humans and their companion animals) and a published writer, living in rural, Beautiful British Columbia with my husband (both boys are on their own now-- whoo hoo! ;-), our horse, her companion (a Nubian goat), 1 dog, 2 cats, 1 old budgie and 1 old rat. Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I've always loved and worked with animals. In early 1996, I joined PETA and received one of their magazines. I thought I knew what went on in factory farms. I had no idea! I was an instant vegan. My husband, then a hunter, decided he'd do it too and we haven't looked back. Now I can say I love animals and not be a hypocrite.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Always glad to be in the company of fellow vegans. And it's very handy to have the reviews in different areas.
