More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I have been a vegetarian since I was 17, slowly moving towards a more and more plant-based diet and cruelty-free lifestyle. Planning to do a step forward for good.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

Joining Happy Cow seemed to be a way to repay the efforts of so many fellow members, whose reviews and suggestions helped me a lot during my travels in Europe and China. I simply wanted to give an effective contribution, and as most know, Venice is far from being a veg-friendly city, so I really hope friends around the world will find it helpful while planning a trip to here.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

The cities in my triangle of love are Venice, Paris, and Beijing. I live in Venice, go a lot in Paris, and spend as much time as I can in Beijing. To be honest, Greece holds a piece of my heart, but I also love Northern Europe for a number of reasons. My bucket list also includes Japan and Iceland.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I find it hard not to love something that has seitan, smoked tofu, tahini, seeds, broccoli or chickpeas in it...

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

I am an avid reader of fiction, and here are but a few of my favorite authors: Umberto Eco, Italo Calvino, and Tiziano Scarpa, Marco Malvaldi, then Michel Houellebecq and Yu Hua. And of course, once you read for the first time the classics of anarchism in all its forms (Stirner, Proudhon, Kropotkin, Tucker), something changes in you forever.
