Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
My health, the environment, less animal suffering in that order. That is not to say that I'm predominantly vegan for my health; that choice was made mostly for ethical reasons. But in retrospect, my health has improved so greatly that I wouldn't want to stop being vegan on that basis alone.
