More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I have more energy, feel good about how I am treating animals and the earth, and ensure that I don't continue my family's extensive history of heart disease when I eat vegan.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

There is no information on New Bern, North Carolina!

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I love Boston. It is a great mix of historic meets modern. I have been to Ireland which was amazing. I would like to go back to Waterford again. I went to Japan & would love to visit more of the little country towns there as opposed to the busy cities. I would love to visit Italy one day.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Anything involving avocado. I used to hate it. Whenever my mom offered me homemade guacamole I respectfully declined. Since being vegan I can't get enough of it. I love making pizza using tons of veggies and daiya cheese for toppings. Crumbling some GimmeLean sausage on top makes it even better.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Eating Animals by Jonathon Safran Foer. Forks Over Knives (documentary). Earthlings (documentary). Pathways to Family Wellness (magazine).
