Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I feel incredibly happy eating a vegetarian diet. It's part of who I am.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I like having a directory of vegetarian/vegan restaurants. When I'm visiting a new city, I want to know where to go.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

India is without a doubt the best place for vegetarians. There is always, always a vegetarian option. Nepal is great too. Europe is amazing for its standard of living, culture, history, natural beauty and ease of travel. I want to see the world! In particular, Bhutan, Taiwan, and Costa Rica are high on my list.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

South Indian foods: dosa, idli, vada, coconut chutney, sambar. Nepali momos. Any type of North Indian sabzi with roti or naan. Ethiopian food too! I'm a big dessert fan, but I'm really impressed with how innovated raw vegan desserts can be: raw cheesecake, chia seed puddings, date and nut balls, etc.
