Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I have started to follow macrobiotic - vegan diet in 2008. I was overweight and was taking subscription drugs as a general daily routine. A few months after starting the new diet I have lost my extra weight and was able to throw the pills away. Plant based diet is healthy and tasty!
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I do travel and found the web site very helpful locating vegan and macrobiotic restaurants around the world..
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I liked France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, India, Thailand, Tunisia, Egypt . Still on my list: South and Central America, Vietnam, Japan, Greece, Turkey.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Hummus, Chick pea ragout, Tempeh, tofu, brown rice, sushi, fried rice with veggies,
