Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I don't really like the idea of eating something that's been alive and had to be killed to end up on my plate. I also try to avoid dairy and eggs where possible (i.e. in my own kitchen), but not strictly.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Grilled red peppers & mushrooms & red onions pasta bake, lentil soup, marinated & baked tofu, egg-free pancakes with creamed spinach & tomato sauce, fruit salad, mousse au chocolat made with silken tofu (tastes AMAZING and less hassle :), vegetable udon ramen... I LOVE FOOD!
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
"The supermarket vegan" has some good and very simple vegan recipes that rarely use soy products, great book!
