More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Originally it was health based. But as with most things, you discover other benefits along the way. The environmental benefits, the cost benefits, and most recently the activism behind it all.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

Giving it a shot! Yelp struggles with properly advertising to Vegans/Vegetarians so I'm hoping Happy Cow does a better job.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Love Boston. Plans to visit Denver, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle very soon :)

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Raw tacos, banana bread, veggie burgers, buddha bowls, anything with sweet potatoes, and asparagus.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Forks over Knives documentary (on Netflix) and following RawAlignment, VitaminCEO, and Absofruitlymel on Instagram.

Hi Eric

It's a huge problem deciding what to eat/buy, and which companies to support/veto when ethical decisions come into play, isn't it?

I still shop in a supermarket that sells all kinds of foods/products that I wouldn't buy. If I had a vegan supermarket nearby it would be wonderful, but I don't, so I compromise. At least vegetarians and vegans can access the products they need with ease, but we are supporting an industry which promulgates killing animals as the norm. It's such a minefiiled.

We must all make our own way through in the best way we can:)
