More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I love being able to eat healthfully, help the planet and ease animal suffering.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I'm so grateful to the Happy Cow community for being with me wherever I go, helping me to find place for healthy compassionate food choices.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I've been to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and to Japan, Ecuador and Norway. I would love to travel throughout Europe, particularly Italy and the UK.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I love quinoa, especially in the summer. I love kale in almost any form. Of course, chocolate holds a special place in my heart. I love to spend time in my kitchen, experimenting with herbs and spices in different vegan dishes.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer was the book that convinced me to graduate from vegetarian to vegan. I love The Sexy Vegan Cookbook by Brian L. Patton. He has lots of amazing recipes and great sense of humor that's very friendly and accessible. Of course I love The Happy Cow Cookbook!
