- I don't understand how someone can be vegetarian and not be vegan... if you are lacto-ovo vegetarian, you are supporting the rape of dairy cows, supporting the veal industry, contributing the terrible abuse of millions of egg-laying chickens, and in general- still killing animals. No offense, but WISE UP!

RE your question about being ovo/lacto non-vegan, everyone has their reason for the diet they choose. Not everyone cares about the slaughter of chickens and cows. Some vegetarians may encourage the domestication of animals (and the consumption of their byproducts).
