Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Health is my number one reason for being pro-vegetarian/vegan. I have noticed improvements in the way I feel, think and live since being on a diet that is more plant-based and animal friendly. This has also served me well in improving my current yoga practice and given me more of a purpose to create a healthier environment for others.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I was recommended to this site by a vegan chef in Northern Virginia named Mimi Clark. I am also an avid traveler, looking for places that support vegetarian/vegan living, and it seemed this site had many resources for that.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I've really like the Great Sage in Maryland. I would also like to visit vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Italy, Germany, Belize and South Africa. I intend to do so!
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I love: kale chips, tempeh, vegan meat and cheese products, hemp products, almonds, black beans, guacamole
