Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I started down this path for ethical reasons. Something I've long thought I should do, but seeing the documentary "Earthlings" gave me the motivation to do it. This was reinforced by reading various nutrition books such as "The China Study", so now I'm doubly motivated to stick with it for health reasons.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I travel fairly extensively, so was looking for vegan options while on the road.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
The Spiral Bakery in Ft Worth Healthway in Vero Beach (it's okay--no produce, but about the best I can find in a small city like Vero) There are a number of places in D.C. I hope to try in the near future as I tend to go there for meetings fairly frequently. Also will have to look in Atlanta.
