Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I believe that non-human animals should not be commodities for human consumption.

I think it is important to share knowledge about places to find Vegan food around the world. It's vital that we create communities that help one another in making the process of being vegan or vegetarian easier. I saw that there was a dismal account of what was available in Johannesburg, South Africa, so decided I had to contribute.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I've been to Hong Kong and throughout China and I found that if you know how to ask for Vegan food in mainland China, the restaurants are very accommodating. Hong Kong has a great variety of options for a vegan, both at their all veg restaurants and others. Paris is quickly becoming a city with more veg and vegan options than one can reasonably choose from. There are great places like the Gentle Gourmet, an all vegan restaurant and B&B, or Le Monde Vegan, a shop that stocks vegan food items of all sorts from meat substitutes, to cheese to chocolates and clothing. Paris is incredible these days when it comes to trying to eat Vegan. Try East Side Burgers for some veg fast food!

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Coco Pops are vegan. Pretty awesome. I love raw food, I love all vegetables and fruits, there's no point in even trying to list them.
