Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

been veggie since i was 12 but even then it was a long time coming. one of my first realisations of what i was eating was when i went shopping in the food hall of a big department store with my gran when i was about 5 and saw a huge cow tongue on a tray in the deli and she explained that was the 'tongue'that people put on their sandwiches. over the ensuing years i point blank refused to eat things when i found out what they actually were until i became a full time veggie at 12.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

a colleague recommended the site - thanks craig! Also, I love to travel and happy cow is the easiest way to find the nearest veggie friendly place to eat.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Travelled around Australia, New Zealand, Cuba, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, USA, Malaysia. Visited Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Kyoto, Kota Kinabalu and Gaya Island, Berlin, Paris, Gothenburg, Prague, Toronto and more.... Would love to go to India, China, Peru, Alaska, fo the trans Mongolian from St Petersburg to Beijing, then the China Tibet train from Beijing to Lahsa. ..so many places to go!!!!
