More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
After watching Forks Over Knives and Vegucated, I knew it was not only the best thing to do for the animals, but the best thing to do for the health of my family and the planet.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I wanted to add a restaurant that I stumbled upon that has a vegan tasting menu, and I also use Happy Cow frequently to find vegan and veg-friendly restaurants.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Portland, ME and Paris, France are my two favorite cities in the world.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Coconut noodle soup bowls, marinated tofu (such a cliche but I love it so much), burritos, marinated kale salads with lots of fruit and nuts, seasonal produce.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
No Meat Athlete, Forks Over Knives, Vegucated, Cowspiracy, Colleen-Patrick Goudreau's podcast Joyful Vegan (VERY helpful at dealing with the emotional aspect of being vegan in a non-vegan world).
