More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I finally realized that for me to not see the impact of my diet was allowing some of the worst atrocities to animals and the environment. My soul is now cleansed :)
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Not so much that I need the support but more for a voice of reason because everything I receive in my circles is static.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Pittsburgh, Canada and the Pacific Northwest
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Tofu, mushrooms, acorn squash
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
I have a hard time watching most videos on the subject

Just thought I'd glance at your profile. Let me know if you ever decide to come to Canada. I currently live in Ottawa, and you'd be welcome to stay here for a few days. There are a couple vegan-friendly restaurants here, and I live close to a produce store.
I notice you didn't list any movies. They don't have to be about veganism, just your favorite movies of all time.
Actually, I just saw the movie August: Onage County, which is a dark drama with bits of humor. There is a dinner table scene where a teenager talks about eating the animal's fear in the meat (She's veg), and is mocked. Even though it is sad to see the mocking, I am always grateful when vegetarianism is mentioned. I also liked Free Birds (the animation film trying to change the history of Thanksgiving), which I think you'd enjoy.
