More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
not having to pay so much for meat, not worrying about ingesting disgusting things due to horrible farming practices, having more interesting meals
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I've depended upon it for so long as a resource for my veg-friendly needs that I felt I needed to start contributing as well!
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
places I've been: LA (specifically Santa Monica), Chicago, Manhattan, San Francisco, 6 countries in Europe places I'd like to go: Berkeley, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Ireland
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
oh, how can I narrow it down?!? tempeh, blueberries, strawberries, peaches, grapes, onions, garlic, soy curls, collards, broccoli, baked beans

I have indeed been fortunate to have traveled a little and I hope to do so far more extensively in the future. I have lived in Portland for 5ish years now - overall, it is my favorite city so far. I've been eating a vegan diet for 18ish years. And yes, I plan on attending this years VegFest. I've been at all of the Portland ones so far!
