More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I'm a pacifist, I dislike human and animal abuse and understand that we don't need animal products to have a happy healthy life. I consider all life sacred and consider the foods we eat the same.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Been a solitary vegan for 8 years. Yeah I know other vegans and there's also a local vegan meet up but I'm a busy man and thought I'd try a forum as it will fit in better with my lifestyle.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Loved India, it's just perfect for vegetarians and has a wonderful atmosphere. Been to plenty of other countries, Jamaica, Cuba, Poland, France, Spain, Turkey, Cape Verde,Ibiza. I'd like to visit Berlin, a friend visits annually and really rates the vegan food.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Chickpeas, borlotti, sun dried tomatoes, chilli, olives, tempeh, miso, smoked tofu, any berries, bananas, mango, sweet potato, pumpkin, kale, chard, parsnip, butternut squash, cashews, almonds, broccoli, sea vegetables, mustard, tahini, apples, actually anything inc the odd processed item
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Forks over Knives, black Fish, Zeitgeist. Either Namaste or Nexus for an alternative magazine full of mind blowing alternative views.
