Hello,
I'm the owner of Gaia's Garden, and am truly sorry that you came away with a bad impression.
I am curious about what you mean by "it didn't look like they would be refilled anytime soon." The trays run short at times, but we are constantly refilling them. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to finish the pasta or whatever. Unlike a conventional restaurant, which might just keep you waiting an extra 10 minutes, our shortages are visible in the interim.
We rarely run out of anything completely and, if we do, we post a sign and adjust the meal price accordingly.
Occasionally (because we are short-staffed to keep the prices down) we may not notice right away if something is missing. Most customers ask about it and we replace it immediately. Did you ask anyone about the status of the entree? If so, what was the response?
Whatever the reason, it makes us look bad when the table doesn't look good, particularly since it is the customer's first impression. Sorry we didn't measure up when you came in.
