Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I really enjoy exploring, so I'd like to visit nearly everywhere. My friends in England are fantstic, so that's probably my favorite place to spend time away from home. I'm originally from Detroit and recently moved to the Santa Cruz, CA area.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Oh, goodness... there are so many! I have far too many books (wait, is there such a thing?), and I don't read nearly as much as I'd like to. I love movies, but I hate to pick favorites! I do love Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Terry Gilliam (uhm... except 'Tideland,' I'm afraid), Italian horror, schlocky 70's/80's sci fi, adult swim cartoons, John Hughes, Tim Burton... tons! However, independent film is very near and dear to my heart, so go out and see something local or low budget, would you?!? Go to film festivals! Take your friends! You'll have fun!
