More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Logically it did not seem that eating meat was really right for not just my health but also the environment. After seeing movies like Food Inc. the decision is pretty easy. At first my wife was not in board, but after a while she set the example!

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

It appeared to be a great resource to learn, find like minded people and learn about the options in my areas for restaurants.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I went on a 3 week trip in 2009 where I went to Japan and the Philippines for a family funeral. The place was absolutely beautiful and the people were awesome. I plan on going back there again in two years.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Portabello Mushroom, onions, garlic and red pepper pitas. Homemade Hummus

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Movies: Finding Joe, Chemerical and Garbage! by Andrew Nisker, Eating by Mike Anderson - anything by him, Kymatica, Forks over Knives, Love by Gary Null, Fat Sick & Nearly Dead, May I be Frank, Vegucated, Planeat, Zeitgeist, Mad Cowboy, What the bleep, Food Inc. Books: Anything by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, You were Born Rich,
