- I am Software Consultant settled in London, UK. I love travelling, but being a vegetarian, I was always in a dilemma as to how I would sustain without proper food when on travels. Indians love spices and food without spices is unpalatable and this is how I felt. As I aged, I realised how healthy it is to have an odd salad every now and then, and these salads came handy when I went on travels. This was till I found Happy Cow and the choices opened up.

More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I come from a family that has followed vegetarianism strictly and I cherish being a vegetarian too. Eventhough my being a vegetarian has been religious, I started appreciating vegetarianism once I knew the benefits of being one.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I ended up at Happy Cow 5 years back when I was looking for vegetarian restaurants in Paris. My father doesn't eat in restaurants which serve meat, and hence I had to go make a list of pure veggie restaurants. And since then, my first stop for vegetarian restaurants has been Happy Cow. I have found my restaurants in Italy, Austria, USA, Switzerland and the list goes on.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Each place I visited in Europe has a different characteristic and 200 words are not enough to sum it up. I would love to visit Greece, South-East Asia, Egypt etc.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I love Indian food and I don't know if any other cusine has as many choices as Indian cusine does
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
I would recommend "The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged" by "Ayn Rand".
