More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I eat vegan for my own health, for the health of the planet, and because I don't believe any other sentient being should have to die when I can get all my nourishment from plant sources.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I'm still a new vegan, so I need support and information, especially when traveling for business or vacation.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I would love to live in San Francisco, it's my fave place of all time, but don't see that happening. Would like to visit Italy and Greece.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
At home we keep it simple--fresh fruits and veggies, oatmeal, green smoothies, black bean burgers. We don't have a lot of vegan restaurants here in north Mississippi, but the best we've found so far is an Indian place that has a full vegan menu. That's HUGE for this area!
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Forks Over Knives, The China Study, Eat To Live (that's the book that changed our lives!), Vegucated.
