More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Going from avid meat eater to overnight Vegan happened after watching the documentary Vegucated and completely losing my appetite for animal products. This also coincided with working for an environmental charity in which I was inspired daily to reduce my negative impact on the planet and increase positive habits. Since going vegan I am happier, healthier and live actively in line with my personal beliefs and ethics. But more importantly, I have opened up my taste buds to the most delicious, creative and varied foods I've ever tried in my life!
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Being one of the only vegans I know, there is something comforting and inspiring to knowing I am not alone in this journey. As a keen traveller I use and trust HappyCow as others would use TripAdvisor: it guides me to the best eats wherever I am in the world, and has been an amazing resource to exploring the vegan options in the cities I visit.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Cashew cheese and banana nice-cream are THE most amazing plant based inventions known to man. Mock meats rarely take my fancy but enjoying a cold dairy free ice cream, or cheezy pizza made the transition to veganism so much easier. But my most favourite cuisines are Thai and Indian: I love the vibrant flavours and easily veganised dishes. You can't beat a good curry!
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
