Hi again Tim,

Review updated. If you get a mo would you mind taking a look and letting me if I have made my point any clearer?

Cheers again

Hi Tim,

Very best festive wishes.

The gripe I have with the restaurant is that it is was they who ordered the transportation home for us. If they had contacted a real taxi firm then there would have been none of the nonsense that occured. In reality the person who was contacted to provide the transport was probably a relative or friend of the the waitor and between the 2 of them they were on the look out for a fast rip off. There's no way that guy who was telephoned by the waitor to give us a lift home was a professional cab driver. He didn't have the first idea on where to find the Grabd Harbour Hotel (not only are we talking about a well known and well established hotel right in the heart of Valletta, there is something of a clue in the name of the hotel on where to find it. Plus all the clutter that there was on the back seat getting in the way, again there was no way that this was a cab. Plus there were no markings (eg the word 'taxi' or a name of a cab firm or the like) on the car to indicate that this was anything other than a car owned by a member of the public. All the taxis in Valletta are white (this car I get into was a dark sort of colour).

I relayed the story to a native (one of the girls in tourist info) when I was there and straight away she said to me, "It was probably a relative of the waitor".

Does help make things a little clearer? I had hoped / thought that all of this would have been clear from the review that I posted. Going by your message then it seems that I didn't make this clear enough. When I get a mo I'll touch the review up to try to make it clearer.

Very best wishes for 2009.
