More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I'm very sensitive to the suffering of animals and I'm not able to bury my head in the sand or look the other way like most people. I prefer to live a guilt free life, even though that's basically impossible.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I travel a lot and I am also about to open a vegan cafe in Burma.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I love Thailand. Bangkok and Chiang Mai have many vegan restaurants and a growing community surrounding them. They are my favourite places at the moment. Yangon, Myanmar is surprising me daily with it's vegan options. London and the South West of the UK, have many very interesting vegan restaurants and cafes and I have done some great cooking courses at Demuth's Cookery School in Bath, which I highly recommend. I'd like to visit Berlin, which I hear is very vegan these days. And Turin in Italy too. South America and Cuba are generally top of my list for travels but I don't know how vegan friendly they are.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Falafel, hummus, tahini dressing, tabouleh, pita Vegan sushi, wasabi, edamame, soy sauce, pickles, shitake mushrooms Singapore vegetable noodles Fresh ripe avocado and tomato on sourdough toast

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
