Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
So many, where to start... =) for the animals, for the planet, for my health, for humankind, for my mind and for my spirit... oh and did i forget to mention my tastebuds ??
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Because i am an avid user of Happy Cow and i use it in every city i go, whether abroad or in my own country and it has been so useful i felt it was time to give back the love by writing some reviews of the really good places I tried out !
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I loved New Zealand and Australia, there the raw food scene is developing fast and it's a pleasure to witness and to try out. I went to California and i felt like i landed in heaven there because the options for vegans and raw foodies are endless there. Other than that, I love to travel to a city that I know has one or more raw food restaurant to taste some new kind of food with the chef's twist on it !
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Fruit! and greens, and all the vegetables that are in season. Nuts and seeds occasionally. And of course, being Swiss, raw chocolate !!
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
I am a big fan of Matthew Kenney and all his work. His cookbooks and his biography are must reads.
