More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Vegan food is more inventive and delicious! It's healthy and good for the environment! I like that by eating vegan I am getting a good mix of vitamins and nutrients that work together as well as a good level of fiber. Growing up in Ireland meat and dairy is a part of our culture so it is not an immediately easy thing to come around to being vegan even if you are a nature lover but I am glad I have in my 20's! :)
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I was in Koh Tao in Thailand and it was the first time I found it easy to eat vegan without trying. I then found it easy to find places to eat on the island through happy cow with the best ingredients! I hope to contribute to the site to make it easy for everyone to find places to eat and also to make businesses aware that we appreciate their vegan options which will hopefully encourage them to keep doing it and providing even more! :)
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I travel alot so not an easy answer! South Africa has consistently the best food I have ever been!
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I love alot of food but a staple is having huevos rancheros in the fridge ready to go to serve with polenta cakes or toasted soda bread and avocado with some nutritional yeast on top!
