- I am a vegetarian for ethical reasons; I am also a gardener, which comes in really handy when all you eat is veggies!!! Above all, I believe in "First, Do No Harm", the Hindu concept of Ahimsa I enjoy gardening, growing flowers and herbs, and as many veggies as I possibly can for my own consumption. Gardening is very relaxing, and growing your own food has a lower environmental impact than store bought. If you can't grow your own, buy local!! Farmer's Markets are fantastic, and a lot of grocery store chains are putting efforts into buying more local products.
