I'm an American living in Germany for a few years. I was told it's virtually impossible to find vegetarian/vegan food here. Wrong! There isn't as much of a variety, but there is a selection in most grocery stores, and even some restaurants depending on where you live.

More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I am vegan for many reasons. I find it disturbing to end anothers life, or take from them what isn't meant for humans (milk). Also I am an environmentalist and humanitarian. I am a healthier, more thoughtful, kinder person being vegan.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I'm pretty sure I joined a long time ago, but I couldn't find it, and any restaurant listing and reviews I added are marked as anonymous, so maybe I'm mistaken :-D. I'm here now (or again).

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I've been to Washington USA, Oregon USA, B.C. Canada, Jalisco Mexico, Seoul South Korea, Gyeonggi South Korea, Colorado USA, California USA, Texas USA, New Mexico USA, Tennessee USA, Kentucky USA, Illinois USA, Missouri USA, Bavaria Germany, Berlin Germany, Baden-Württemberg Germany, Cardiff Wales, London England.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I prefer to eat at home, though cooking isn't my favorite thing to do. I like to make a lot of Italian, Mexican, and Asian dishes.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Jane Eyre, all by Jane Austen, Sookie Stackhouse series, Stephanie Plum series
