Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I first became a semi-vegetarian when I was 12--it lasted for about 3 years 8 months. About a year and a half later, I tried ovo-lacto vegetarianism, and that only lasted for 4 months. In 2009, I started up vegetarianism again, ovo-lacto, and have been since. I do it for me, and no one, or thing else.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

To find new and different vegetarian restaurants.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

So far I've only be to The Veggie Grill, which I have enjoyed a lot. I want to try other vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Los Angeles--especially because I do plan to eventually try my hand at living a vegan lifestyle.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Cheese, eggs, cheesy eggs, potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, tofu (if it is prepared properly), prepared vegetarian foods (ie. Boca, Morning Star, etc)
